The Edinburgh TV Festival is one of the most prestigious and hugely-anticipated events in the media calendar, attracting senior TV executives and a host of stars from in front and behind the camera, from Sir David Attenborough and Russell T Davies, to Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Louis Theroux. It is a not-for-profit trading subsidiary of the TV Foundation, a charity dedicated to ensuring fairness in the TV industry and supporting excellence.

Job Description:

We’re looking for someone to help with:

  • Social Media Campaigns from planning and designing to implementation and reporting
  • Design and artwork for online and print advertising
  • Assisting with research and activation of marketing campaigns for the Festival and TV Foundation events

Responsibilities

  • Keeping the website up to date with all Festival and Foundation news
  • Maintaining social media accounts and generating monthly reports
  • Assisting with the build and design of the Edinburgh TV Festival app
  • Creating promotional materials, including print ads, invites, newsletters and banners and more, ensuring correct sign off and all partnership requirements are met
  • Implementation of marketing campaigns across the Festival and other TV Foundation events
  • Research market trends and other relevant information which will assist in developing marketing plans
  • Working closely with the marketing manager and PR team to ensure full event coverage on all relevant social media platforms
  • Assist with writing and proofreading copy
  • Assist with ensuring the Festival brands are used correctly across all Festival and Foundation activity

Requirements:

Essential

  • Proficient with Adobe, specifically Photoshop and InDesign and preferably Premiere Pro
  • Strong organisational skills to plan and prioritise while responding to changing priorities
  • Have acute attention to detail and organisation
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Have a passion for social media and marketing and experience using social media, particularly Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Understanding and knowledge of the TV industry
  • Basic knowledge of website design and maintenance

Salary:

£22,000 per annum
