Kensington + Chelsea Art Week (KCAW) opens doors to the area’s most prestigious museums and institutions alongside the independent galleries, studios, creative spaces and businesses that make up the fabric of this diverse borough.

KCAW is offering the chance for an individual to join the team as a Festival Intern, to support the production and delivery of KCAW exciting programme. Reporting to the Director and Producer, the successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of the festival during the months before and the art week itself.

Job Description:

This internship provides a fantastic opportunity to be involved in delivering our festivals and to take part in the behind the scenes activities. This internship is a varied role and an opportunity to experience a variety of tasks including elements of project and venue management, producing and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Festival Director and Producer in the run-up to and during the festival
  • Assist with the marketing of the art week, including mailing lists, social media, website
  • Assist with graphic design
  • Attend meetings in person or on a conference call, and take minutes
  • Provide general administrative assistance
  • Conduct research and information gathering as necessary
  • Assist in the collection of evaluation and monitoring data
  • Take on any other tasks reasonably requested by the KCAW team

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from home
  • Enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, arts and culture
  • Organised and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure and to meet deadline
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Great communication skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Office software
  • Proactive approach and a willingness to “pitch-in”
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Photography skills are a plus

Salary:

£20k-25k pro-rata/ £10.75 ph

Duration:

8 hours/week
