About:

Creative Support provides person-centred services for people with a learning disability, autism and mental health needs. We also support people with a physical disability and older people with care and support needs, including people living with dementia. Our mission is to promote the independence, inclusion and wellbeing of everyone we support. We work with individuals, their families, and partner agencies to deliver high quality services that meet each person’s needs and aspirations.
An apprenticeship with Creative Support is the start of a fulfilling and rewarding career in the care sector. You will gain valuable experience working in support services while also undertaking a level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Above all, you will have the opportunity to make a difference and have a positive impact on people’s lives.

Responsibilities:

You will be providing person-centred support for adults with a wide range of support needs, enabling them to achieve their goals, participate in the community, and enjoy a fulfilling and valued life.
You will be encouraging people to be as independent and confident as possible in the following areas:
  • Social skills/relationships
  • Personal care & hygiene
  • Monitoring and administration of medication
  • Daily living skills
  • Leisure and work activities
  • Self organisation and coping abilities
  • Personal safety

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade Level 1) Desired
Things to consider
There may be a requirement to deliver personal care and/or administer medication, depending on the needs of the individual. The role might also involve working with people who display challenging behaviour. An ability to cope with conflict and distress in a mature and resilient way is important.

£14,625.00
Under 25s – your hourly rate will be no different from the rate stated

Duration:

6 – 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
